Mike has worked within the Civil Engineering and Construction Industry since gaining his HND in Civil Engineering in 1998. He has worked for both local and national firms giving him a wide and varied experience in all levels of management.
During this time he has also attained a degree in Construction Management and NVQ Level 7 in Project Management. Mike joined CNG Fuels in 2018.
Chris was previously at Goldman Sachs for 19 years (1993-2012), based in Frankfurt, London and Moscow. From 2007 to 2012 he was the CEO of Russia and CIS responsible for the securities, investment banking and private equity investing activities. Prior to leading Russia, Chris was co-Head of the European Financial Institutions Group in the Investment Banking Division. He was made Partner in 2004.
Since leaving Goldman, Chris has been a dedicated global venture capital investor. He has led investor syndicates in several software verticals via CKA Capital and other entities resulting in 28 investments.
Chris is a director at Ariadne Australia Ltd in Sydney, Australia and additionally serves on the boards of CNG Fuels (UK energy infrastructure), FinClear (Australian financial services), and on the advisory board of GreenSync (Australian energy SaaS). He also serves on the President’s Leadership Council at Brown University.
Chris obtained a BSc in Physics from Brown University (1990) and an MSc in Physics from Harvard University (1993).
John is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading authorities on natural gas for transport and biomethane. The company he founded, CNG Services, provides design and build services in relation to: biomethane injection into the gas network, connections to the LTS and NTS network, development of Bio-CNG stations, CNG supply for off-grid customers, and hydrogen innovation projects.
After graduating in 1983 from Oxford University, JJohn worked for British Gas (and succesor companies) including BGE&P, Transco, and Lattice Group / National Grid.
John is a John is a former President of the SBGI (Society of British Gas Industries, now EUA) and former Chairman of the Renewable Energy Association Biogas Group. He is also the winner of the REA Champion Award for 2014 for being the driving force behind the development of biomethane injection in the UK.
Peter’s early career started in the British Army, where he received a Queen’s Commission through the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served as an Officer within the Royal Artillery. Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Liverpool.
He then went on to spend the next eight years within the Beverage Industry, where he held various senior roles across the sector, encompassing Sales, Marketing and International Business Development. Peter joined CNG Fuels in 2016 and is responsible for all facets of the business relating to customer and key stakeholder relationships and business development.
Luke has been in the engineering and transport arena for over 25 years working for buisness’s such as Scania, Tesco and Waitrose / John Lewis.
From starting as an apprentice and working within the Engineering & Transport Industries throughout his entire career has given Luke an bottom up in-depth understanding from enginnering to supply chains and transport operation. Luke is skilled and qualified in Engineering, Transport and Dangerous Goods.
Philip has been working in the natural gas industry since 2002 when he joined Hoegh LNG, an LNG ship owner in Oslo, Norway. In 2006 he left Hoegh LNG and founded FLEX LNG, a company that spearheaded the innovative concept of floating liquefaction vessels.
FLEX LNG has since its inception raised close to $600 million in equity and is listed on the Oslo stock exchange. Philip was the CEO of FLEX LNG from 2006 until December 2013. Philip founded CNG Fuels in 2014 and has been the CEO since.
Philip has a nautical degree and has worked at sea as an officer in the Royal Norwegian Coast Guard and in the merchant navy. Mr. Fjeld earned his Master’s degree in Strategy and Management from the Norwegian school of Economics and Business Administration.
Baden’s previous career in investment management and advisory included six years with UBS in Australia. He has held public and private company directorships in industries including resources, pharmaceuticals and entertainment. Baden holds an MBA from London Business School.
Baden’s investment career has included multi-asset class advisory, equity capital raising, M&A and private equity. From 2004-2007, he was a Director of gold exploration company, Triple Plate Junction PLC, which was listed on the London AIM. Baden also holds a Masters degree in Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Sydney.
Shaun was the first CEO of the UK Green Investment Bank plc, the world’s first green investment bank. Shaun established the bank in 2012 with the backing of the UK Government and it quickly became the leading investor in renewable energy in the UK financing over £12 billion of clean energy projects.
The bank was successfully privatised through a sales process in 2017. Prior to establishing GIB, Shaun was responsible for leading the European activities at Hudson Clean Energy Partners and prior to that held senior positions at both Shell and Centrica. Shaun holds a number of advisory, non-exec director and chair roles in the green mobility, clean energy and green finance sectors and has been a leading investor in sustainable companies for many years. Shaun holds a BA (hons) in Business Studies from Ulster University.
Nick spent the first 5 years of his career as a banker in Sydney, Australia where he worked at ANZ Banking Group covering various industry groups including mining services, food and beverage, telco and media, and aviation. He then worked as a Consultant in London before obtaining his MBA with Honours from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
Nick transitioned into private equity working initially at Castle Harlan Inc in New York before moving back to London to help establish the complex situations investment fund Agathos Management LLP.
Nick also holds a BA from Bowdoin College in Maine, USA where he double-majored in Economics and History of Art. He joined CNG Fuels in 2016.
