Demand for bio-CNG nearly triples at Leyland refuelling centre

Demand for renewable biomethane CNG fuel at a refuelling centre off the M6 at Leyland has nearly tripled in a year.

Customers using the refuelling station, which is operated by CNG Fuels and backed by gas network Cadent, include Waitrose, Asda, DHL, Argos and H Parkinson Haulage.

Latest data shows the volume of gas dispensed at the site in March this year was 170 per cent higher than in March 2017.
